AVIOTECNICA S.R.L. has been doing business in the aeronautical industry since 1953, works with the most important Italian Aerospace Companies for the production of cold pressed and machined parts made of various aluminium, steel and titanium alloys. It also produces medium-complexity structural assemblies.
To ensure it remains competitive in the aerospace sector in future years it has carried out significant investments: the production departments have been strengthened with the introduction of new machining centres, numerically controlled lathes and bending machines
and grinding machines. It has invested in the Quality Control laboratory and purchased systems which ensure the continuous efficiency and control of the ovens used for heat treatments.
The introduction of CATIA V5 in the Production Engineering Department, which already uses release V4, has strengthened and improved the overall performance of the department and brought improvements for users: both internal (other departments/Quality) and external
(Customers).
These investments have involved staff attending appropriate courses at specialised centres to improve their professional skills, thereby implementing “Quality System” directives to continuously improve product quality.
The plant covers a surface area of 3,500 m2 and includes offices, laboratories which carry out destructive and non-destructive tests, production departments for the preparation of parts, pressing, heat treatment of light alloys, numerically controlled machining,
galvanic treatments and painting, as well as warehousing space.
The company has also expanded its activities to include final assembly of medium-complex structures in aluminium alloy and composite materials.
